When does the eSIM plan validity period start?
The validity period for a travel eSIM starts at the time you install the eSIM on your phone or when your eSIM connects to the supported carrier. We clearly state the eSIM activation time for each country in the relevant eSIM details.
Can I renew the plan on my eSIM?
Whether an eSIM mobile plan can be renewed depends on the specific eSIM type and the country you choose. Most SIMPM eSIM data plans currently do not support renewal. However, don’t worry—if you use up your data, you can easily buy a new eSIM plan to continue accessing the internet. The process is extremely simple and quick.
Can I make calls or send text messages with an eSIM?
Whether an eSIM includes a phone number depends on the plan and the country you choose. For example, in Vietnam or the UK, SIMPM offers both data-only plans and plans with a phone number that let you receive normal calls and messages.
Can I share mobile data with another device?
Whether SIMPM eSIM plans allow mobile data sharing (hotspot/tethering) depends on the country. Some countries where SIMPM offers eSIM do support hotspot, such as Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand,…
Which phones work with eSIM?
eSIM-compatible phones are becoming increasingly common. For example, iPhones from the XR and XS series onward, and Samsung Galaxy S20 and above, all support eSIM. To check whether your phone can use eSIM, you can view the latest list of eSIM-compatible devices.
How do I install eSIM on my device?
After you place your order and complete payment successfully, you will receive the eSIM QR code and detailed installation instructions by email. Just follow the instructions and you can use your travel eSIM easily.

When should I install the eSIM?
Because you need a Wi-Fi connection to install the eSIM, you should install it before departure. Depending on the waiting period for each eSIM type, you can install it 30 days before your trip or less.
If you have already arrived in the country where you need to use the eSIM, you can install and activate it right after receiving the QR code.
Can I keep using my old WhatsApp/Zalo number?
Yes. You can still use voice/messaging apps such as Zalo, FaceTime, Messenger, Skype, WhatsApp, … while using eSIM.
How fast is SimPM eSIM?
SimPM eSIM plans are connected to the networks of the leading carriers in each country. For example, Vietnam eSIM uses Vinaphone, while Thailand eSIM uses DTAC and AIS. Therefore, you can be completely confident in the internet speed of SIMPM eSIM, whether your destination is in the countryside or the city.
Do I need to enable data roaming on my device?
Yes. To ensure your eSIM always gets the best mobile network, you should enable data roaming in your phone settings. This will not incur any additional mobile data charges for the eSIM.
When the data on my eSIM plan runs out, can I top it up?
Currently, all SIMPM data plans do not support top-ups. When your data allowance is used up, your internet connection will be interrupted or slowed down. If you want to continue using it, you can buy a new eSIM and activate it following the instructions.
How many times can I scan one eSIM code?
Each QR code can only be scanned once. If you encounter any issues during eSIM installation and activation, please do not delete the eSIM—contact SIMPM immediately for timely support.
